Workshop/Rendezvous Schedule
Log Meat House Workshop, Sunday June 28th – Wednesday July 1st – Cove Spring Park
Restoration of the first period log meat house at Cove Spring Park, where the camping and camp kitchen will be. Attendees who enroll in the log meat house workshop will have an opportunity to learn how to document and draw a log structure, as well as how to properly deconstruct, assess and store the components. The restoration will be completed during IPTW 2010 which will also take place in Frankfort. Class size is limited to ten people, so register early!
Timber Frame Picnic Shelter Workshop, Sunday June 28th – Wednesday July 1st – River View Park
The Timber Frame Workshop will consist of laying out and cutting a white oak picnic shelter like the timber frame that we built at IPTW 2005 in Belmont. Students who enroll in the timber frame workshop will have the opportunity to learn square rule layout, cutting square rule joinery and using hand and power tools. The picnic shelter workshop will take place at the River View Park but instructors and students of both workshops will be able to camp and eat right at Cove Spring Park. Class size is limited to fifteen people, so register early!

A basic First Aid Class will be offered by the Frankfort Area Red Cross at a special discount price of $30 for Rendezvous participants. The class will cover choking, shock, stroke, seizure, heat & cold, splinting, bleeding, neck & back injuries and more. The clase will be held at their office at 318 Washington St. approximately 2-1/2 blocks from River View Park. Class size is limited to twelve people, so register early!

1:00pm-4:00pm - OSHA Scaffolding Safety Course.
The class will by taught by staff of the Kentucky Occupational Safety and Health Program and is designed to promote recognition and prevention of hazards
associated with scaffolds and ladders. Topics include the use,
maintenance, and inspection of various types of scaffolds and ladders.
